Between Nature and Culture, discover the history of this exceptional archaeological site recognized by UNESCO (2000), one of the oldest mining sites in the world accessible to the general public. Strolls in the heart of the green Natura 2000 zone, permanent exhibition, surface and underground tours are offered throughout the season. Walking maps and nature notebooks are available free of charge from reception, for an even richer family experience!
Descent into the mines
Every weekend, on public holidays or during the school vacations, discover the richness of this UNESCO heritage and descend into the Neolithic mines accompanied by a guide. The descent is via a 10m-high vertical ladder. For your safety, the underground visit is forbidden to children under 10 years of age, claustrophobic people, people with weak hearts, people prone to vertigo and pregnant women. For your comfort and safety, we advise you to wear warm clothing (12° in the mine), closed shoes and pants.
